Do you remember when Disney first brought us "Steamboat Willie" and changed cartoons forever?

Fast forward to today and Disney's at it again, but this time with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Yep, the Mouse House has set up an AI task force, determined not just to keep pace with today’s tech-driven world, but to lead it. And given they've been investing in technology since synchronized soundtracks, it's safe to say they're not just dabbling.

We've seen a sneak peek of what Disney can do with this tech - ever heard of Baby Groot?

This free-roaming robot from Project Kiwi is set to interact with park guests, pushing boundaries we only imagined a few years ago. But it's not just about robots and theme parks. Disney's looking at AI to potentially rein in those skyrocketing production costs and to boost advertising, envisioning an AI-powered system that could revolutionize the way ads are created and delivered.

Just think about it: AI, with its incredible data-crunching power, could fine-tune a movie's budget or transform how a brand communicates its story.

Of course, not everyone's thrilled. Hollywood's creatives are wary, seeing AI as a potential threat to jobs. But like it or not, change is on the horizon.

With 11 job openings centered on AI, and partnerships with startups on the cards, Disney's making it clear that this isn't just a passing phase. It's an AI-led future, and I'm here for it.

In the ever-evolving landscape of tech, we recently saw Zoom roll out a little adjustment to its terms in May 2023.

It was a tweak about utilizing our chit-chats to train their AI. Understandably, the online corridors lit up with concerns. People were left pondering, "Is Big Brother watching my Zoom yoga classes?"

To calm the storm, Zoom was quick to clarify: they're not diving into your audio, video, or chat without a green light from you. And if AI's not your jam, a quick hop into the settings lets you bow out of the data-sharing dance.

But let's get real. Some of the sharpest minds in privacy are still raising their eyebrows. While Zoom's made moves in the right direction, they're still scooping up tasty tidbits like IP addresses and meeting transcripts. In the sprawling world of AI, data's king.

With enough of it, systems can predict, analyze, and (sometimes eerily) know what we might do next. This can be golden – think of the innovations! But there's a flip side: potential misuse, from creepy ads to downright security threats. It's on companies to be crystal clear on their data game, and on us to keep our digital shields up.

So, while Zoom's making strides, let's keep our eyes wide open and fingers on the pulse of our digital privacy.

PayPal, a behemoth in the payments industry, has unveiled its very own U.S. dollar stablecoin - named PayPal USD.

If you've been following the digital currency saga, you'd know stablecoins (crypto pegged to a stable asset) have been around for a hot minute. But despite their promise of reduced volatility, they've largely stayed in the shadows, mostly being used to trade the more flashy coins like Bitcoin.

But here's why this is especially intriguing: Historically, stablecoin attempts by mainstream giants (remember Facebook's Libra?) met some hefty roadblocks, mostly regulatory concerns. However, with PayPal stepping into the arena, things might just be different.

This move signifies a renewed confidence in the industry, even as it navigates the tricky waters of global regulations. Notably, PayPal's venture isn't going unnoticed on Capitol Hill, hinting at the broader implications for digital assets in the financial system.

As Paxos - the firm backing this initiative - aptly put it, this isn't just a milestone for them but for the whole financial sector.
